Africa - a land of pain, war and disease. A place where the Christian message finds a home amongst people who are simple in their belief and willing to find healing and comfort in the heart of Father God.

Set in the fertile Rift Valley, Nakuru is Kenya's fourth largest city with 300,000 inhabitants. Like in other African cities, poverty is a massive problem. The rubbish dump on the outskirts of the city attracts many homeless children - victims of abuse and neglect. Here, despite the enormous risks from disease, they find food and the means of making money by selling what they can collect.

To reach out to the lost children in Nakuru, Stirring of the Water Ministries are building a home for the youngest and most vulnerable. Close to the town's dump, it will provide orphan children with a place where they can grow up in a family environment with Christian values and receive education that will enable them to find a more worthwhile life.

As well as a home for the children, there will be a missionary base for those wishing to spend time in Africa giving away the love of God to the poorest of the poor. In the beautiful natural surroundings, with a view of the famous flamingo lake, Lake Nakuru, budding missionaries will be able develop a heart for the lost and begin to follow in the footsteps of many famous men and women of God who have spread the fire of God's love through Africa.
